Community Experience

The University of Winnipeg helped shape me into the person I am today. Through my experience at the U of W I was able to participate in programming clubs, be a Teacher Assistant for over two years and represent the Applied Computer Science Department at the university's open house. Along with these valuable experiences that built my professional communication skills, I was able to take courses that helped me succeed in the workforce.

  • Used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js and Express.js to create websites with a functioning front and backend
• Human Computer Interactions
  • Learned about principles that improve user experience and user interfaces
  • Practiced user testing on self-created prototypes
  • Used UXPin and Balsamiq to make interactive prototypes
• Software Design & Architecture
  • Completed assignments creating class, sequence and state diagrams
  • Used Java to complete assignments implementing design patterns
